CAST Network
Coordinated Assistance Support Teams
A case management system to address barriers beyond the classroom
How It Works
Each building has a Coordinated Assistance Support Team (CAST) responsible for managing the system. The CAST can have as many members as needed. The CAST reviews referrals for student support that come from other members of the school community. Building leaders assign referrals or cases to support professionals who work to address the concerns identifies in the referral. This work sometimes involves connecting students or families with outside resources. Working together, each member of the school community helps to identify and address the challenges facing students and families.
Submit a New Student Referral
Sometimes, you do all you can and there are still challenges and barriers that get in the way of student learning. A referral is the first step in the CAST Network process when you believe there are issues beyond the classroom that are affecting a student. To make a referral, you must have your building’s secure code. Connect with a building administrator if you need your building’s code.
